Worried about roof leaks, overflowing gutters and costly repairs? Follow our top tips to keep your gutters and downpipes clean, maintained and in good condition all year round. (They might even get photographed ;-))
Have a gutter inspection carried out annually and easily with rope access, to make sure that there are no broken parts and that they are watertight.
If your gutters or downpipes are in need of repair make sure any replacements are made using the same material where possible.
Check that there are no blockages in downpipes. This is best observed after heavy rain.
Remove any vegetation from behind downpipes - again this is safely and affordably done using our professional rope access team.
Carry out regular inspections with rope access to check that there are no cracks or splits in cast iron or aluminium downpipes.
Ensure that all gutters and downpipes are securely fastened.
Regularly paint cast iron to prevent rust.
